About Tooth Whitening
There are many causes. The most common ones are due to eating food, coffee, tea, wine, soft drinks and smoking. Our teeth naturally discolour with time during the course of our lives. Even so-called naturally yellow teeth can be whitened.
The whitening gel contains an active ingredient that degrades in the mouth to release oxygen. The oxygen reacts with the organic stains and discolouration on the teeth, oxidizing them, which makes the teeth whiter without damaging them. Artificial teeth and fillings are not affected by whitening.
To whiten your teeth, you need two mouth trays (one for the teeth in the upper jaw and one for the lower) that fit your teeth perfectly. You also need whitening gel with the active substance which acts as a whitening agent. The mouth trays are heated in warm water and placed over the teeth in order to create a precise impression of your teeth. A small quantity of whitening gel is applied inside each tooth impression in the mouth tray. Each mouth tray should remain in the mouth for approximately 30-120 minutes each time. You quickly see the difference and will achieve optimal results after a total of 10-30 hours of whitening.
A completed teeth whitening treatment lasts for several years and your teeth will always be whiter than before the treatment. Naturally, food, drink (in particular, coffee, tea, coke and red wine) as well as smoking will gradually, over time, darken your teeth. In order to keep your teeth white, you can undergo regular whitening treatments once every 6-12 months.
It may take between 5 and 30 hours to achieve perfectly white teeth. It all depends on how stained and discoloured your teeth were from the start. You will see results after your very first whitening, and the teeth get whiter with every treatment. We recommend starting with 30 minutes of whitening per treatment and gradually increasing to approximately 60 minutes. If you are in a hurry, it is possible to whiten your teeth in just a few days. Likewise, if you prefer, you can whiten them over a period of several months. The important aspect for a perfect result is the total number of treatment hours.
Each treatment requires between 0.3ml and 0.5ml of whitening gel per mouth tray. This means a total of between 0.6ml and 1ml for both upper and lower jaw. In practice, this constitutes a small drop of gel for each impression in the tray. The whitening gel containers are graded to make it easier to see the amount of gel needed for each treatment.
We do not recommend it; instead, wait until afterwards. There are no known reasons why you couldn't whiten your teeth during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

The best place for storing the gel is in the refrigerator. If you store it in the refrigerator it will last for up to one year from the date of purchase. At room temperature, it lasts for up to six months. After this time, the potency of the whitening gel is reduced.
The tooth shade guide makes it easy to see and measure the result of your whitening. A professional tooth shade guide is included with all the DentaWorks teeth whitening systems and can also be purchased separately. Make sure you get a tooth shade guide when you purchase your whitening kit.
No, there are no problems whitening with tooth jewellery; it is not affected.
Artificial teeth, crowns, fillings or other orthodontics are not affected. Teeth whitening does not damage artificial teeth or orthodontics (e.g. fillings). It is still possible to whiten your teeth and the result will be better than if you had chosen not to.

DentaWorks Tooth Whitening
The difference is in the special transparent plastic used in the DentaWorks Soft mouth trays. Make sure that your teeth whitening kit contains completely transparent mouth trays, so that you can see your teeth and the gel during the whitening process. The special plastic makes the DentaWorks mouth trays softer and more comfortable. Another unique advantage is that there is no limit to the number of times our mouth trays can be reshaped. They are also easier to mould to your teeth than other mouth trays.
Dentaworks uses a uniquely pure teeth whitening formula. It is 100% free from substances such as peroxides, TEA (Triethtanolamine) and animal residue which is common in other brands of teeth whitening gel. Peroxides can cause unnecessary irritation to the gums and may cause allergic reactions. Studies have shown that TEA (or Triethanolamine) is a dyshormonal substance that may cause cancer and is also an ingredient in many other teeth whitening gels in the market. The DentaWorks teeth whitening gel contains none of those substances, and is specifically developed to give you white teeth as quickly as possible.
The reason the DentaWorks teeth whitening system is less expensive than many other brands is that we have our own in-house manufacturing; it is also due to the large quantities we manufacture as well as efficient logistics. This enables us to keep prices down, offering our customers better and more effective teeth whitening products.
